Replaying Heartgold.
Went challenge mode with a three man battle group.
Currently level 40.
One stage 3, two NFE.
7badges.
Want to get to lvl45 before Clair. (50 by the league)
Finding it really difficult to level.
WHY IS IT SO PAINFUL TO LEVEL UP IN HEARTGOLD?
Anyone know of good places to grind?
...please?

Wait until you beat the eight kanto gyms.
My pokemon barely managed to get past lvl 55 ehrn rematching the E4. Lance's dragonite was literally 20 levels higher than mine. The only way I could beat him was sacrificing most of my team to his salamence just so my Scizor could bullet punch it into oblivion, thus causing Lance to send in his Charizard, who then proceeded to murder my Scizor. Then I sent in my Dragonite, used an X Defense, Dragon Claw made laughable damage to it. I then Dragon Danced 5 times and proceeded to rape the rest of his team with my own Dragon Claw.
Needless to say, it was incredibly frustrating, and I haven't touched the game since. I don't know how THE FUCK I'll beat Red's team, if I struggle with Lance's.

HG/SS didn't bother to fix the main problem of the orignals and just tacked on a bunch of useless gimmicks like following Pokemon and the Pokewalker so they could profit off of nostalgiafags and LE NERD CULTURE XD hipsters who probably onlky played Red and Silver. Actually fixing the game balance didn't matter.

Had the same problem on mine, my Pokemon were low 60's when it versus Red. Still beat him, somehow, but it was a struggle.

Speacially after coming to Kanto! Because I can literally rematch every of 16 awesome gym leaders all times I want!
