Y: Cool, new character. Sweet, Bill has a bigger role in this, and those anime references are a nice touch. Wait, Elite Four is evil? The fuck happened to Red? Holy shit, those team battles! And Yellow is a...WHAT?!
GSC: Gold is pretty ballin. Silver and Crys are meh. Villain was dumb, but damn, was that fucking gym leader tournament and finale awesome.
R/S: Pretty solid plot until DEUS EX MACHINA bullshit. Favorite characters though. They actually made me like Wally.
FR/LG: Pretty meh until the ending.
E: Irritating, until Ruby and Sapphire show up. Then plot happens and shit gets real. Still the best finale in the series.
D/P: Unbearably slow start until they bump into the other bodyguards. Friendship dynamic was great, villains were fun to watch, and Dia is best character. This is what the anime should've been.
Pt: Never played this game, so no clue who these people are. Platinum is kawaii as fuck. Looker seems like a funny guy. Sup Daisy. Fuck yes, Cynthia. Ending made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
B/W: Neutral. Plot seems meh, but the characters are alright. N is actually less of a hypocrite now. Gym leaders and side characters are still getting justice, Cheren and Bianca especially. Can't wait to see more of them. The arc will probably improve once all the volumes get released.
