So has it been confirmed if Iris and Cilan are leaving? And what about the episodes between the recently announced one where the title hints at Iris/Cilan leaving and the stat of XY?

It's pretty much confirmed that they are leaving.
After they leave there will an episode with Zekrom (last episode of BW) and then 2 weeks without episodes until XY starts

If they don't have an episode of Ash going back to Oak's to say hello to all of his pokemon I will be disappointed.

I bet they end up having BW end with Ash seeing Pallet Town in the distance and then have XY start immediately with Ash on a plane to Kalos.

It's sad that they are literally shitting on the screen nowadays with no care in the world about quality as long as it advertises.

It isn't really confirmed. There is nothing officially said on the matter. That Ash is walking around in Kalos by himself is a good indication, sort of. Unless they pull an AG and they come back randomly later. The title is not a good indication, either, since it could just be the end of the island hopping. (confirmed: that ep takes place in Vermilion City)

This isn't going to happen; Origins isn't taking the regular slot, there's going to be two episodes after Iris and Cilan leaves before the regular week break.

YES. She was a disgrace to be a female companion in the anime. God damnit she was so annoying. Hopefully they put Shauna as the next one because she seems spunky and not as annoying (how I picture her I guess)

You know, Cilan really irritated me at the start of BW but he grew on me a lot. He brings some pizzazz to the show and is kind of a nice change from Brock, even though Brock is brock and will always be the classic male companion.

Does it really matter? Anything of importance ended long ago. There is perhaps one chance left of there being
anything else in September, and we will have to wait a week or so to find out. They always reveal this junk a month in advance. If not, then BW's days are numbered. It makes no difference to me because this ending has no meaning to it whatever they say. I will be happy to see these buggers go if they are going, and I will be further happy to know that BW has ended and the nightmare is over. What if XY is bad you say? I don't care, if it is, I'm not even looking at it. They will have to practically beg me to return at this rate. They can only do that doing what they should have done when DP ended.

Continue what they were doing in DP. Yes, I'd totally make like BW didn't happen. This doesn't seem too likely since BW effectively destroyed any sense of continuity even though they tried to revive it. (and failed) If there is any continuity, it will be to this, and that isn't that good of a prospect. It'd be like going to Hoenn again.

Thinking of which, I saw the episode with Paul fighting Brandon the other day on TV and was amazed at the amount of past episodes that it referred to and that led to it. If I didn't think of it 2/3rds in I would have tried to tally them up just for curiosity's sake.

The only redeeming thing about AG is May. Max shows up and goodness gracious, he's a waste of screen space. If you're watching the dub, don't watch past the pasta episode, because after that, the voices and script get infinitely shittier.

Didn't care much for Drew (he can fall off a cliff TBH), although Harley worked very well as both comic relief and as a villain. May did win a little too much for my liking. I really felt for her whenever she lost.
