Couple reasons: I didn't like the way it looked (the mate finish and the extremely round edges), I felt it too big on my pockets (I usually play it between classes), felt somewhat awkward in my hands and I find it harder to focus the 3D on the XL than the regular one

That turquoise sorta colour.
Regular because I have tiny baby hands/pockets.
X, preordered already.
Xerneas is clearly superior, and Clauncher too.

I'll probably end up with the 3rd version at some point so I can still do nuzlockes and such without deleting my save.
Didn't bother just buying X and Y because I have no cash right now, plus the third version is usually much better in region balance, pokemon variety, and story.

Pretty much all the Pokemon games have had a "cool" and "beautiful" poster child. Xerneas is there for the feminine types, and it's entirely intentional.
