>>13506103There's a reason Swallot has such a weird movelist in Type Wild. It may only be one example, but say if the game had three attack buttons (LMH) then the devs would have to not only think of normals for those three buttons, but also how a pokemon's moveset in the main series would fit in as specials or supers.
Now some pokemon, like a lot of grass types, can get away with this by re-purposing their natural learnset into normals - like how Ivysaur uses Vine Whip in smash bros. Others, like Electrode, might not work out so well since they lack the means of having such a diverse movelist to have a full range of "normal" attacks.
Though speaking of Electrode, if a pokemon with Explosion or Self Destruct gets in I can only imagine the hilariousy of how that move would function.
