I wasn't aware that there was any staraptor hate. Sure he's got a slightly edgy look but it's pretty minimal compared to pokes like absol, absol , absol , and you guessed it, absol.

He helped me out so damn much in Diamond and I'll always be thankful for that.

Helped out quite a ton. Actually won against Cynthia for the first time by surviving icebeam, using a sitrus berry, then using brave bird and surviving by only 6 HP

Being 15 at the time, that shit was great.

factor in other common birds and you'd basically just put dodrio in front of fearow and call it a day. pidgeot's existance considering both fearow and dodrio were made in the first generation almost baffles me
