I'll take this time to ask a question.

What are the best Pokemon movies?
Only three movies stuck out to me as great. The one with Mewtwo (though if I recall there was a 2nd one with him called Mewtwo Strikes back?), Lugia and the 3 legendary birds, and the one with Entei.

What other good ones are there, if any?

6 and 9 are shit. 5 is decent. 11 and 12 are decent, 12 especially if you want some Arceus action. 14s are meh. 15 is good if you want less Ash and more Pokèmon.

16 seems good.

Also protip: None of them are "great" any way.
The First Movie is good for nostalgia.
Second movie is shit even with nostalgia, however the animated short at the start is cool.
Those were the only ones I watched as a kid. I recently rewatched up to Lucario and the Mystery of Mew. I liked Mewtwo Returns OKAY. Pokemon Heroes and Lucario and the Mystery Of Mew are probably the only ones that are actually even good. I guess Deoxys was aight. The movies are still, as a whole, pretty forgettable. The First Movie would probably be as good as Heroes/Lucario if it wasn't for pokemon tears

Spell of the Unown and Mewtwo Strikes Back is noticeably better than anything that came after, and magical monster tears having mystical properties is better than giving Ash fucking super powers as they did in the Lucario movie.

I've recently have gone back and watched most of them and, IMO the stand outs are 5, 6, 7, 9, and 13. My personal favorite being 13, Zorua was so damn cute

I've only watched the first 5 but so far I'd say Lugia's song and Celebi: VotF's intro theme are the best (since it's just a Johto League Champions theme cover).
I'll get around to watching the others eventually.

Yeah but it's particularly present in the 13th movie.

I mean a person almost STRANGLES CELEBI TO DEATH.

Not to mention Zoroark's torture. It's more Saw than a Pokèmon movie.

I figured the two movies tied in some how.

all give me weird musically induced emotional feels that can only be described as "Pokemon, dude"

My favorite movie was Lucario and Mystery of Mew mostly ONLY because that was the last movie with the good voice actors. Other than that I also enjoyed the Rayquaza and Deoxys movie.

Can any of you guys tell me why the keldeo movie is so hated? I saw it a while back and though I wouldn't call it a favourite, I found it to be fairly decent and don't understand a lot of the hate it gets. Is it just because "keldeo mlp lel!!" Or is there an actually reason?
