After getting HeartGold about a month ago, originally just for the Pokéwalker, I got back into Pokémon after years of apathy.
When I went through my old games, I discovered that a long time ago I was breeding for nature in Emerald. Curious, I read an IV breeding guide on Smogon, and now I'm doing that as well.
Since it seems hopeless to try and turn back around... what do I have to expect from unregulated Gen IV online play? Will I run into Heatrans, that moon thing, and Jirachis all the time, and should I craft a team to counter such legedaries? Or should I just aim for a coherent team with a unifying strategy, and hope that it withstands such threats?
