like seriously, before in Dppt if you had like a 110 base speed and an okay attacking stat, you'd be usable in pretty much every tier (aside from ubers) as long as you were played well. Same with the walls. If you had decent defenses, good HP, and access to a recovery or status move you could be useful to basically any team.
But now, there's motherfuckers with OBSCENELY huge attack stats and literally no drawbacks. Look at pic related. one hundred fourty fucking seven base attack, access to SD AND DD and the best STAB in the game. Good speed, good defense. And you know what? He's considered one of the shittier pokes in his tier.
Or look at the fucking -orus forms. God damn. Access to NP, access to SD, access to some of the best typings in the game (Electric/Flying.) Every single one of them has like a 145 base attack/SpA and REALLY good defenses and speed. Like, I could understand a pokemon with a 145 base attack and like 10 defenses, but Gamefreak is pumping out pokes that have literally NO drawbacks.
