It isn't a bootleg, it's the Pokedoll. Very rare. Last time one sold, it went for like $250. Haven't seen one for sale anywhere before or since.

And yeah. I got the 1:1 Eevee, Pokecen Sylveon, Sylveon Mascot, Eevee Mascot, and Eevee 3DS, along with some other items. My Eevee collection is literally the reason that I need a new bookshelf.

I actually found it at a garage sale for like $3! (I think it was in the original box too, but i dunno if still have that)

They claimed it didn't work but I jostled some wires, put in some new batteries and it sprung to life, making those horrible sounds from the 8th circle of hell.

It's too much of a pain to do it for the Japanese Pokedolls, though, since their tags are stars, so I just leave them naked.

Bonus Pikachu that used to make squeaky noises when you shook him (but broke ages ago) and an ugly Vulpix that become even uglier when I put it in the fireplace for a few seconds to see what would happen.

I got the Zorua and Snivy plushes from the B/W promo tour before the games were released (they were out of Oshawott when I got there). I also got that 6" Zekrom figure, but lost it somehow. I have no idea how I lost it.

Moved out of office of summer job today, so I kinda had to drag a lot of stuff back. I figured that since it was all in one place and not scattered around my room yet, I might as well take a picture of it.

I'm not sure, my Celebi's from Banpresto and it matches most of the images I find when I put "DX Celebi plush" into Google's image search. As for the Palkia I'm pretty sure he isn't, his frill is a straight piece of hard fabric while the DX Palkias I've seen have a folded piece of soft fabric.

It would actually help if I was near 'em right now, but I'll be back home tomorrow so if this thread's still up by then I'll double-check.

Well, I got this little guy at last year's San Diego Comic Con, but he's all I got right now. Are cons decent places to look for these? I'm new to collecting stuff, but I wouldn't mind having some more around.

Yes, and no.
Cons have a lot of plush from a variety of different sources and that's awesome.
Unfortunately, a LOT of these plush are bootlegs. I'd say almost 75% of them are. Unless you've gotten extraordinarily good at distinguishing legitimate plush from bootleg ones, then I would caution against buying at a con. A plush may be well made and look legit, but you also have to look at the tags. Some of these bootlegs are "factory rejects" and are stolen from the factory by workers and then resold, which is illegal, obviously. So watch out for the hang tags and the "tush tags".

tl;dr don't buy plush at cons unless you know what you're doing

Thanks for the advice! The stand at SDCC seemed pretty...hm. Dealing in really old stuff, I guess. It was all clean and of nice quality (I snagged some little figurines, including a chubby pikachu, so I figure that's old) but, y'know. Still hand washed the stuff.

And yeah, that's definitely legitimate. Most of the beanie plush weren't bootlegged. A few have been, but just their patterns. They don't have beans in them, so it's easy to tell what's legit and what's not.
