Actually, why are fire types so fuck all hard to obtain? They're always few ingame that are most likely shit or your present team is powerful enough not to even need them.
But D/P was retarded with making a Fire type Elite Four and having only two/one fire types available in-game.

I actually kinda liked how Flint had other types.

I wish more Gym Leaders and E4 members did this. They would still focus on having mostly the type that they are assigned to, but have like 1 or 2 (or even 3 if we get to 6 Poke teams) that are a different type that can learn the moves.

Why would you even want Fire-types? They are mostly crap, unless paired up with a good type like Ghost, Steel, Fighting or Dragon.

Keyword SUPPOSED to. NPCs hint at you ghost types would be effective against physics, and it shows up in official guides. Much like making dragons effective against themselves, but making the only dragon type move Dragon Rage, it was a fuckup.
