As an old fag who was started with Red and Blue, my initial thoughts on Pokémon X & Y were that it was gonna be shit-tier.
The protagonist designs are dumb looking; I despise Fairy type with the very fibre of my being because, in my opinion, the system was fine and you could easily counter Dragon types in Gen V; the new Pokémon aren't that great looking either, and last but certainly not least, Mega Digivolution.
Barring what I've mentioned, the rest of the game looks like it might be fun to play. So I'm torn, because I want fun, but I don't want to buy a 3DS just for it.
So, /vp/, what are your reasons for playing/not playing X&Y?
