You already fucked up by making the topic too broad. If this took off it'd inevitably stagnate into a circle jerk. The topic of this thread is about a fourth of the board itself, arguably more. You make threads revolving around very specific topics, then surf multiple threads of topics you're interested in rather than trying to create a single place to get it all.

If you're having this much trouble creating a thread without drama perhaps you should lurk around longer and see how it works before attempting it yourself.

I guess my favorite gen is 3, probably because it was the first one I owned and didn't just borrow from a friend. I liked the tropical setting, the lead character sprites, the fact that you had a father for once, and the champion Steven was cool. 4 was also cool, introduced a few of my favorite pokemon in that one.

You made a thread that's basically fifty threads in one except extremely random, almost meta. It is like the opposite of a "get it off your back" or "unpopular opinions" thread.

My favourite is Gen II by far due to it's amazing post-game, I mean seriously, 16 Fucking badges!? Initially, my main issue with Gen III was it's rather short playtime, but when I replayed it a month or so ago I really enjoyed it. I used to be a hardcore GenWunner who claimed all Gen III and up Pokemon looked like shite, but now I like most of them.

I don't even care anymore. You people just want a thread to state your opinions in. You deny how meta this is and pretend it is acceptable since it is "positive" which is a loaded word in the first place. Positive used here just means stated without objection. The objection is what leads to discussion of which you appreciate something and actually creates a discussion. You defend one another's right to needlessly state opinions for no purpose and agree with one another as though it is a good thing. This is the definition of a circle jerk. You're trying to create an atmosphere in which people can say whatever harmful things they'd like without being checked. People joke about how mean people here are, but it is that people are mean. It is that people are fair. Bullshit doesn't go unchecked, and if you want a place where you can talk out of your ass without opposition there's plenty alternatives out there you would enjoy.

There is no prize if my opinion is seen as the popular one. I do not have a name. There will be no credit. People will still continue their cancerous behavior. There is no prize if your opinion convinces me I am mistaken. It will not save this thread. It will not prevent people from calling out bullshit in your so-called safe environment. Not everything is a contest that can be won or lost. Sometimes everybody loses, and they'll keep losing until they can start to see eye to eye on things in a mature way, not constantly seeking to discredit one another, instead honestly listening on ways to improve with defensive forces rolling in. The only "discussion" that comes from hate threads made for shitting on things is b8 posts and trolling. Look at many of the various threads on /vp/ started like that and the only thing you'll see is people throwing shit at the walls. No one leaves the thread more informed. No one suddenly become enlightened by having their opinions blasted. The only point to those threads is that someone out there is getting there kicks off the stupid shit posted and responded to. Negativity can be constructive at times, but not at a place like this. At least, I have not seen it. You act like positivity can not lead to discussion as well, which is just plain idiotic. Many threads that start positively and stay relatively positive get much discussion, like talking about new features and ideas.

I really liked the surf theme so that probably helped a lot for me too. Thought dive was a really cool TM idea and also had a great theme. I kind of hope X/Y has more intricate dive route too.

Anyone else feel like the C-Gear in unnecessarily hated?
I mean it was pretty useful if you wanted to have a battle or trade with your friend but were in the middle of an elite 4 run.

Favorite cross gen evo line. I like the way its theme was built upon. Certainly didn't expect a glitched out Porygon for its final evo, but I find the concept particularly interesting.

I didn't have a problem with it but I did feel the poketch was a bit more useful for me personally. I hardly ever really used the C-gear, but for situations like that it does sound pretty useful.
