I'm a different anon but I remember one time in 2008 where it took me months to find a Nintendo DS. MONTHS. The console had been out for YEARS and I couldn't find one for MONTHS.

I'm planning to buy X, get familiar with the game, and if I really like it, buy Y at a later time.

I want X to be my main game because I think Xerneas just looks plain awesome. Aside from that though, it's clear that X and Y are the opposing concepts of life and death. Y and Yveltal symbolizing the concepts of death and destruction while X and Xerneas are birth and creation. X also has more 'friendly' looking version exclusives, while Y has more darker and grim ones so far.

I'm more fond of the aura and atmosphere of X over Y.
