I'm pretty sure most of the people who complain about Smogon has no idea what it is. They think Smogon arbitrarily hands out tiers to Pokemon, when it is in fact based off of usage. They complain they can't use their favorites in OU, when they certainly can, it just won't be as effective (example: my OU team contains Beartic, Scyther, and Gallade). The CAP project is to just make hypothetical pokemon in (as of yet) unfilled niche roles. Pyroak is a Fire/Grass pokemon with Rock Head, and two great moves to abuse it with. As of now, no other pokemon is anything really like it. Besides, is anyone forcing you to play CAP? Are the created Pokemon allowed into standard OU? No. Yes I agree that they are annoying as fuck in randoms, but that aside, there is no real reason to claim that it makes Smogon "the worst thing to happen to Pokemon"
