With that said, I am one of a few haters on Gen V. While it is an excellent game, I find too many of those pokemon to be unbearably unattractive, while it's also the only game not to be some sort of revolution within the main game franchise. Dream world and...triple battles...and gene splicing, combining legendaries, doesn't cut it for me. Gen V is underwhelming.

I kind of like the little poodle dog cotton candy mon, I was like "Wtf is that thing?!" but then it grew on me when I saw the little legs on it and the handle is actually a tail; then I thought it was 2cute.

I'm being completely honest when I say that anyone who likes gen 1 the most only does so for nostalgia. Now, thats not a bad thing, nostalgia is a legitimate reason for liking something, but almost any complaint about a generation after it can be found in gen 1 as well. gen 1 was the precedent for everything great and the precedent for everything shitty in the series

That picture really made me realize how much worse the starter designs got over time. Just look at how shitty the fire starters got after Gen 2. Charzard and Typhlosion are homies, and then they just progressively degrade into embarrassing garbage.
