So are there any hacks of gen 3 (RSE or FRLG) that have the physical/special split added?
I'd like to try a nuzlocke and was hoping to try one of those with that change if possible.

Staring to fall apart a little right now.
Lost Powers on my way to Opelucid City and replaced by Skar who was killed on Route 9.
Replacement was a great choice with a Modest nature staryu with Natural Cure.
Shame Mars was killed in training by a lucky Audino.
Replaced with Mustav the Jellicent only for surfing.

Really want to use Nightwing the Gligar, not using her because I dont get the razor fang for a long time and also its got a negative attack nature.

Different anon, but man, my fucking heatgold nuzlocke was 83 hours because i spent about 10 hours doing voltorb flip to get thunderbolt, then dicking around to get a thunderstone for jolteon, then dicking around for hours usibg my stantler's frisk to find a magnemite with metal coat for steelix, THEN endlessly winning the bug contest until i got a shiny stone to get togekiss.

The three on top are my main bros, all 3 are lvl. 77. Those on the bottom are the top choices for the remaining 3 spots. As of right now lanturn is the highest level right now at 60, Next is umbreon at 59, Drapion at 58, and milotic at 55. This is a randomized run so the abilities are different. So, Who should I bring to the elite 4?

Went to Castelia and found some new team members. The team feels a lot more well rounded now. Obviously Smaug and Jade need some training, but that will come. I was hoping for an Eevee or something in Castelia, but ended up with another grass type.

Clay is going to be really damn tough, I think I'll have to grind to level 46 at minimum. It's a shame Napoleon becomes part Steel when it evolves, since it makes it weak to ground. I am starting to consider not evolving it until after the gym...

Button will be an awesome team member for Skyla, but now it's kinda useless...

That isn't the best team for Elesa I've ever seen but its not the worst.

Got EQ on Emboar? Corvo might help but watch for Overheat from her Zebstrika, Fire Fang from Luxray and Focus Blast from Ampahros if you do.

Sage or Scrambles could help, also both Reflect and Light Screen are at Nimbasa Mart, and Sage can learn both for defensive measures.

Elesa tops out at lvl 38 with her Zebstrika and 36 for everything else, play it safe annd you should be good

Well, I earned the Legand Badge, but the battle was a massacre, lost Zoroark, Thorn and Surj.
Then I went and lost Mustav fighting against Zinzolin's stupid Cryogonal.

Audino training on route 22 was a disaster.
First lost Blocker trying to capture Tide.

Then I lost Dynavolt and Nam against stupid non shiny Audino's.

Think I have trained up enough.
Lv 55 M.J. with compound eyes and thunder should be enough to take down Marlon.

Well went exploring and found a Aerodactyl down in relic castle bottom, caught it and replaced Murkrow with him, grinded my team to 50 and went to clear the gym, lost both Vaporeon and Aero on the way to Skyla, replaced with Murkrow and Aron, then lost Murkrow while grinding.

Finally got team to 54 to take on Skyla and went in, took out most of her team before she got of a Scald on Darmanitan and Aggron, they went down, then killed rest off with Galvantula and Miltank.

5 losses on this gyn, worst set of losses so far, pulled Silva the Scraggy and Lumiere the Litwick into use, heading off to Lentimas now.

I'm playing a Nuzlocke on my Heartgold now, here are the rules.

1.) If the Pokemon faints it's considered dead and sent to the graveyard.

2.) Must catch the first Pokemon you encounter per route. Duplicate clause will be in effect.

3.) Must nickname all Pokemon.

4.) No potions or healing items during battle.

5.) No Legendaries

6.) None of the Pokemon should be a higher level than the upcoming gym leaders strongest Pokemon.

Things were going soo well untill I got to the Plasma Frigate.
Lost Nappa in the first fight with Zinzolin.
Caught a Piloswine and evolved it to use against Colress but it dies in the second fight against Zinzolin along with my M.J.
Strings went down to a random plasma grunt who had a Koffing with Destiny bond.

Nightwing was actually a good choice. He wiped out Colress's team with a little help from Prince.

Now just to train up three more members to level 50 - 52 and take on Kyurem and Ghetsis and his damn Hydreigon.

Any suggestions on who I should add to my team.

Picked Melee even though he's not Skill Link because a +4 smashed rockblast might still takeout Genesect's sash, and Cropduster because he can set double screens quickly

Alright, grinding done, got my team to lv 55, Nightwing and Prince to lv 60.
Shame I cant evolve Nightwing yet.
Forgot I dont nave my spare ds at the moment so Knight will have to be a Karrablast for just a little bit longer.

Alright, just beat that damn Kyruem and Ghetsis.
Had a few close calls against him. But my whole team pulled through with great success.

Caught a petilil on route 23 and will be training a bit more before taking on Victory Road.

Also, where in victory road do you get Zweilous and Druddigon.

Back again, beat Whitney and unfortunately lost both Carl and Nala (Carl from a Miltanks Body Slam crit) otherwise Frank wiped the gym clean with his Jump Kick and is turning out to be a bro.

I made my way to Ecruteak, managed to get Big Ern the Exeggcute from a tree and I also beat the rival at the burnt tower(and got a magby), currently I'm grinding them to 30 so K.Rool can get crunch and evolve.

Well Drayden was the easiest gym leader so far, had Leah in front to stop the sneaky pebbles but forgot that Magic Guard only works on indirect damage not entry hazards, He sets up pebbles then Dragon Tails Leah out of there for Silva who proceeds to Ice Punch him to death but not without getting paralyzed, in comes Salamence who I swap Miltank in for and sweep rest of his team with Miltank.

Now just taking down the Plasma goons round Opelucid then taking down Zinzolin.

So this run has just become much more interesting...
My first catch on route 32 was a level 6 female Wurmple. As I was training it so I can see to what it evolves, what do I run into? A SHINEY level 6 female Wurmple, on the same route. I think it was reasonable of me to therefore catch the shiny Wurmple (Now a beautiful Dustox) and release the first Wurmple. You'll be Missed, Quoi the regular Wurmple, but not really since I wouldn't have used you.

On a sadder note, I managed to Lose Rockbert... At least I got an Electric type on route 32, Sandy! Her ability is kind of a problem, since the first special move she learns is Discharge at level 29, but I'll work with what I got.

Again, does anybody have some guide or wiki for the gym leaders' team in this hack?

Pachirisu is stat-buffed in Sacred Gold and learns Discharge at Level 21. I had a regular one in a Platinum run and it was good for taking a hit.

It's a pity you didn't get Volt Absorb.

Faced Morty, aside from the Gengar his team was quite a pushover with K.Rool sweeping most of it and Frank tanking some hits, unfortunately his life was cut short when Misdreavus trapped it and landed a crit Power Gem. Afterwards I evolved Big Ern and headed to route 38 and saw an Elekid but Big Ern's Grass Knot killed it so no catch there.
I headed to Olivine and then grinded a bit to evolve the rest of my team as they weren't strong enough anymore and then cleared the Light House and the water routes and now I'm going to face Eusine.

Lost Leah to a critical Blizzard from Zinzolin's Abomasnow on the first turn of the battle, was easy going after that though.

So I just played my first Nuzlocke /vp/:

FireRed Omega, my team pretty much got wiped single-handedly in Cerulean by Rival's Smoochum before the Nugget Bridge. Does that mean Game Over or can I still play as long as I have pokes in my box? I don't feel like I have a chance anymore after this though.

Beat Eusine and Chuck with no issues, got rekt by Ariana in the Safari Zone subplot(damn jynx blizzard) and that ended K.Rool, Volcano and BinLaden's run. Took out Braveheart from the reserve and found a Buizel on Route 28 and they swept Jasmine I then got a Porygon from the game corner and then caught red gyarados and now I'm heading for the rocket hideout.

Got the Wave Badge but lost Miltank, Exeggutor and Galvantula to Marlon.

His Carracosta got off a Shell Smash and I was on the defensive from then on, eventually got a crit on Miltank and she was over. Brought in Exeggutor to finish it off and in comes Kingdra and proceeds to DD three times, and wipe both Exeggutor and Galavntula out. Muk finished Kingdra off with Shadow Sneak to steal the kill and then killed off Jellicent with a critical Gunk Shot.

Have taken both Excadrill and Chandelure out of the box and now thinking about my 6th team member, thinking about adding Kingdra to the party to round it off and save Slowpoke for the Elite 4.

Beat the Rocket Warehouse with no problems, lost Ace and Gyarados to Pryce's Lapras trapping with Whirlpool and T-Bolting Ace and Mamo with its Stone Edge but otherwise it went well. Then I got fucked over by Silver's Alakazam which killed off two of my pokemon so now I'm just training Timmy to replace Falco, Slappy was an emergency pokemon I got at Tohjo Falls and Captain the Seadra was my catch at Whirl Islands.

If I can access the Bell Tower now I might go to see if I can find a good team member because all of my reserves are either not that good or theyre water pokemon

Is it me or do Nuzlockes always seem to end really dramatically?

In every one I've played, no matter how many full restores I go in there with or how well I use them, I always seem to barely scratch by the elite 4, and have to do the final fight with 2 pokemon.

My first Nuzlocke of a Fire Red hack I actually did the last 2 members of the elite 4 with just a Toxic/Moonlight/Bite/Protect Umbreon. That shit was TENSE.

additonally i have it randomized. (pokemon and moves) random moves makes the game a lot harder. i have been waiting forever for pimpking to learn a physical poison attack and bagina has no good moves at all.

i never realized how brutal spiritomb is in-game though. he is a killing machine.

So if the standard nuzlocke rules include only catching the first pokemon you see on a route, does this only apply to pokemon you'd want to use for battling or does it include pokemon one would use for HM slaves? If it's the latter, does that mean that most nuzlocke runs involve a distinct lack of Fly?

Only my Mightyena survived (lvl 45) and I have to train up a team from box scratch.

Koga fucked up my very first Leaf Green Nuzlocke. I was still inexperienced in how drastic Stat changes can affect things though, so his Muk swept my team, except for a single Venomoth.

Wound up pulling a new team out of all the routes/locations I hadn't at that point visited, but still lost to the Elite Four. Good experience though.

Made it through Sprout Tower, lost both Tank and Miley though, Tank was because I stupidly lead with him and though a Psyduck wouldn't have a water move but it did, and Miley was to the Lead Sage's Hoot-hoot, who proceeded to Hypnosis me 4 times a row and had to scramble and stall til it missed.

Evolved Sly into a Jolteon to deal with Falkner, now gonna grind to 16 and take him on.
