There is no way Ash is going to travel with a fully grown woman. The producers are going to want age-appropriate eye candy. Alexa will probably just act as Ash's guide and then become a recurring character.

Clemont can stay, he's cool.

PokeBeach says the second Gym is Fairy-type, and Lumiose is the second Gym city, so unless Clemont is Fairy he's travelling with Ash.

You got it kinda correct. Its actually Alexa, Clemont, and Brock that are traveling with Ash. Brock is always trying to grope dat monoboob, but Clemonts cock blocking ass is always pulling him off with his mechanical arms. Clemont functions as the 'max', or 'crogunk' this gen.

Alexa is traveling with him to report young hot shot trainers. Brock heard that Kalos (france) has amazing cuisine and breeders. Clemont is on a journey to improve his tech, and to just spend more time with pokemon

Yes I did play DPPt.
But I think the game starts off with those two cities and then allows you to go any direction you want after beating Lumiose's Gym. Seems logical as the city functions as some sort of hub. Also note that Ash arrives to Lumiose first in the anime.

But the Lumiose gym isn't the second gym. The sign is yellow, which is for Electric-type gyms. The first four gyms according to the PokeBeach rumor aren't Electric, so it's obviously not going to be touched until later in-game.
