Went to Gamescom today and played XY demo.
Did we already know that XY won't be fully 3D? It appears the overworld is still 2D and only the Battles and cutscenes are 3D.
Also, quite a lot of battle animations lagged the game, dropping the FPS down to 15-20 or something. I hope that's only a problem in the demo though.
Aside from that XY felt pretty damn good.
