I've only recently restarted playing on discovering the nuzlocke comics.
I've only nuzlocked SS, Platinum, and Leaf Green before only every playing R/B/Y/G/S and Sapphire.
I cannot stop nuzlocking and even though I told myself I would not nuzlocke gen 6 I just might do it (currently nuzlocking Black with White 2 waiting).
I fucking hate that Smogon has popularized not using everything in game and that there's such a divide between what we see in VGC tournaments and what is popular on Showderp
Everytime I try to hate a pokemon it ends up becoming a bro in some way or another and I have no idea why.

Eh the Gold/Silver stuff does get better but if you liked the 3rd gen games then I suggest reading on into the Sapphire/Ruby stuff (it's pretty good imo). The Emerald arc however I found hard to read as it just made me play more at the Battle Frontier than actually read.

Hoenn is my favorite region. I actually liked the diving spots and water routes.

Kanto is the most boring region. It was just as empty in Gen 2/4 as it was in Gen 1/3.

I have never battled competetively.

I had a bigger crush on Gardevoir than I ever did on any real life girl.

I thought Gen V was stupid as fuck for focusing on character development. Pokemon games have always been about the pokemon not the people who train them.

Megamons ruined the games for me and I'm gonna wait till Gen 7 to see if they retcon digivolving out of the games, if they don't I quit pokemon.

I like Colosseum, XD, and Mystery Dungeon.

Gen 5 has most of my favorite Pokemon. At the same time, it also has a lot of my least favorite.

Electric Tale is the best Pokemon manga, not PokeSpe.

Torterra is the only starter that i've never used.

I liked Team Rocket the best, They were actual gansters that would actually scare me in rl.

Gen IV designs ruined pokemon for me, Gen V brought me back. Gen VI ruined it again and I hope Gen VII brings me back again.

I think Gen /vp/ is pretty cool and I've only been in a couple threads but it looks somewhat promising

Despite what people say, /vp/ is actually pretty good looking. A decent amount of /vp/ looks normal. That being said, I think the people who go "yiff :3" and "lol mai waifu" are really REALLY ugly and fat in real life.

No, it pretty much just prevents overcentralization of the meta by allowing weaker and inferior pokemon a chance to be used. In Ubers, you can use everything, but most people use stuff relegated to the Uber tier because why fuck around with Armaldo when you can be using shit like Giritania? Why use Chimecho when you have Mewtwo?

OU is sort of the main meta, and basically has some of the most popular and strong non-legendary pokemon like Scizor or Salamence. Any pokemon can be used, even UUs or NUs. but pokemon in the tier above it are prohibited.

Tiers don't necessarily disallow you to use pokemon not in the tier, only if the pokemon are in the tier above, so if you want to play with pokemon that are less than perfect like Raticate you don't have to worry about encountering a Kyogre unless you use it in Ubers.

I Pokegen'd my 5th gen competitive Single and Triple battle teams and loved it but hope 6th gen doesn't allow any form of cheating

I think anyone that breeds (or any other way) for shinies is a complete retard wasting their time since there are so many ways to make fake shinies look completely legit

I've finished at least 2 main-games in every Gen but haven't finished Black 2 and probably won't ever

I think Pokemon Y might be my last main-game I play unless 7th gen is crazy different and I also don't know if I'll finish it.

but see, if you don't use tiers, eventually people will start making strategies after strategies and at a certain point a bunch of pokemon that are more optimal than others in battle will start to get used a lot, and it will be tiers all over again

it's not about forcing you with some arbitrary rules, it's a natural process, and it's not even enforced by anyone: you can try and win with your favorites

you just have to realize it's objectively harder if not outright impossible in many cases, because of how gamefreak has decided to make certain pokes and moves

Well too bad, I'm gonna give you jist of it.

IV's stand for Individual Values. In each stat there is a hidden number that varies between 0 and 31 so at level 100, your Pokemon can have an extra 31 in any of their stats. Each number for the stat is randomly generated when the Pokemon is encountered/hatched.

I actually like Gen 1

The people that use the terms like hoennbabbies and genwunners are worse than hoennbabbies and genwunners themselves. They shit up just about every other thread.

I strongly dislike emulators because I don't get the same affect from playing a handheld.

I think the 3D in Gen 6 looks dumb, and I really fear that it'll turn out like the 3D in the latest explorer game. Gives me a headache. I wish they would stick to the regular DS and continue building on Gen 5's beautiful graphics.

It is my wish that the franchise will be rebooted darker and grittier, with the game being restructured around catching mons (which for some would be very difficult) with Gyms and E4 as a secondary challenge. Also I want the shittier mons to be redesigned and rebalanced or simply thrown out.

The current implementation of IVs and EVs is indefensible.

The games hold your hand and railroad you too much and don't do a good job of teaching you how to actually get good.

The lack of challenging content outside of Battle Tower type shit is awful.

Gen I is the worst generation for me. I like only a few pokemon from there.

I never... NEVER use legendary pokemon in any situation. For me, they are unique and don't want to lose time with a 12-year-old kid

I prefer Pokemon greatly for their looks. This goes for even building a competitive team. I could find a special wall that would really help my team, but I think looks terrible, and I won't add it purely on that basis.

Gen 3 had the worst game design (including the map, the dialogs, music and especially the art style in general, it's horrible in my eyes) in the entire (main) series by far for me and that's the reason I dislike it the most. However, Gen 3 Pokémon are great.

Despite the obvious flaws of Diamond/Pearl (mainly the ridiculously low speed) I really enjoyed playing it. I'm replaying it right now.

My girlfriends can and will own me at competitive battling any day. I enjoy playing the games but I'm not interested in Pokémon Showdown or anything besides watching some battles once in a while.

I'm stuck in the Wottergate days where people in general loved Snivy but hated Oshawatt

Aside from the gameplay itself, I foudn Gates to Infinity to be the best pokemon game in every way and to date is the only thing in pokemon so far to have a good story

I feel like every region has major flaws except for Sinnoh. Kanto and Johto are bland as fuck, Unova is literally a line going through the region, Hoenn was okay until you got the water. So much fucking water. Sinnoh has the best region.

It pains my heart knowing there are people out there who actually like Emboar. But it's their shitty opinion and I can do nothing to change it.

People who fap to pokegirls, bara, pokemon, pokeboys are automatically considered fat, lazy, deadbeat degenerates by me.

I think Gen VI music sounds really bland. Lets hope for the best though
