Some of them are cool-looking and there's a certain allure in finding a cool shiny DURING a playthrough, using that nigga on your team, and acquiring a rare bro. I'm not talking about Patrat's and Ratatta's. Imagine going into the desert ruins and finding a shiny Sandile or a shiny Joltik in Chargestone Cave.

Been playing Pokemon since I was 10 with Blue.
Now 24 and no shiny ever.

It's especially mournful since I'm a breeder and hae bred probably over 1,000 eggs over the years with foreign Dittos since Platinum. (I'm a perfectionist with my Pokemon, IVs, natures and egg moves)

Nothing annoys me more than people who haven't even hit the average encounter rate yet but still think it's somehow notable that they haven't got a shiny. The rate is over one in 2000 even with the shiny charm for encounters, do you want a fucking cookie or something? It's like complaining that you've bought a hundred lottery tickets yet still haven't won yet. Once you pass the average rate you can complain about being unlucky, not before.

They may have a new item that increases the encounter rate more than the Shiny Charm does.

My second one was a shiny Amoongus, which I got by Masuda Method in Black in a quite short time. I know this pokemon may be shit statwise, but it was one of my bros in gen V.
