The only Pokemon I see could become fairy are: Clefairy/Clefable, Snubbull/Granbull and the Lake Trio

I fail to understand why you chose Misdreavus, Pachirisu, and a few others..

Misdreavus is based on a banshee. Banshees are considered fairies. Pachirisu? I don't know, go ask Gamefreak why they made Marill and Dedenne part Fairy type.

Because Dedenne really needs to lose the one thing that makes it unique.

the psychic typing is largely tacked on to some legendaries like Jirachi, Celebi, and Victini where it's more magic and less ESp or mind related stuff. Jirachi's steel typing comes from being a meteor, so Steel/Fairy works.

Jirachi's pretty fucking psychic. It has the god damn TCG symbol for it on its stomach.

Celebi's psychic type isn't really tacked on, but it also makes sense for it be fairy. If its type is changed it could also be Fairy/Psychic, though both would make sense.

Either one works. Possibly Steel because it already has a bunch of Psychic moves via level up. Doom Desire can be switched to Fairy.

The lowest number of Pokemon in any type is ghost at ~30, with more to be introduced this gen.

Fairy, being added so late in the game, will either have to get a HUGE number of new fairies in gen VI, which would be a large portion of the new pokedex, or retcon older ones to catch up.

Yeah, right. This seems more like an excuse people make up just to fit it in. Marill isn't a rabbit and there was no indication of Azumarill being based on a moon rabbit before.
