It's made for little kids. They specifically state it's for the "7 and under" crowd because they don't recommend little kids using the 3D feature.

This is the "kiddie version", and it was done intentionally.

you do know that the Japs go crazy for all those limited edition consoles, right? They have no problem buying the same console 3 or even 4 times. Did Pokemon do this? Did they have to make another 3DS this way so that kids could also play it? None of the other games seemed to even be a cause for concern, unless it's been compiling ever since. Why didn't they do it sooner, then?

It looks fucking ugly and heavy. It's just a square with two screens on it. It's the size of a tablet but has screens that are only the size a phone's screen. It looks worse than a fake console. All it does is play games that the 3DS can but without the 3D. It's just a Dsi that can play 3ds games.

I just wonder how are you gonna pass that part of phantom hourglass that you need to close and open the DS to pass a thing from the bottom map to the upper map in order to continue playing..
