But it's much bigger in the West. Notice how many of the release dates were in october for North America. That's because they can have it be close enough to Christmas to boost sales but far enough away so that it isn't in the middle of all of the rest of the chaos of holiday season.

You can't take the Japanese release dates and then say that those had were the same for the rest of the world.

Do you know how long it takes to physically make literally millions of game cartridges, manuals, boxes, and deliver them to tend of thousands of shops everywhere in the world, as well as making sure all international versions are fully translated and bug free? Far more than it takes to make the 100 or so copies for Japan's press.
