It doesn't have any features the 3DS doesn't, so there's no reason you would need one.

Cross-gen transfer will probably be done via a 3DSware app. Like, you put BW/2 in the slot, launch the app, select which Pokémon you want to transfer, do a stupid minigame, it removes them from the cart and saves them to system memory, put X&Y in, receive the Pokémon.

Clamshell is perfect. It lets you put your DS/3DS away in your pocket or any small area. It protects your screen and buttons, and gives you an adjustable screen for when you're holding it vs. resting it on a desk.
2DS has none of this.

Yeah, no. They're not going to do that. If we are able to get Pokemonf rom Gen V games, we're going to have to do some stupid mini-game to get them.

It's good since younger kids would have turned the 3D feature on anyway but it's stupid for them to take the clam design away.

My XL fits fairly nicely in my pocket, actually. I wouldn't want to sit down with it in my pocket without readjusting it, but I wouldn't do that with a lot of stuff I have in my pockets, like my ereader.

Not the guy you're responding too, but I wear jeans with a waist from 28"-30". Some of fit the XL perfectly, others it would stick out the top a bit and you wouldn't be getting anything else in there, but definately no risk of ripping. Just find a brand with deeper pockets.

Listen guy, I've had 3DS since day one and pretty much always play with the 3D cranked to the max.

But stereoscopic 3D illusions are a VERY subjective thing, everyone's eyes are different and some people just don't take to it well.

There's a depth slider for a reason.
