So /vp/. I really want a Shiny Hoppip, but Smogon's chaining guide was really difficult to wrap around and I was wondering. Would tge Masuda Metgod be easier for this since I could get Egg moves?

Chain is fucking easy with a minimal amount of practice. I caught 4 shiny corsola in an hour the other day but it does ruin the specialness of shinies

masuda method is stupid, the probability is actually lower than normal because it takes so long to hatch an egg

chaining isn't difficult to be honest, it just takes patience.

If you want easy mode, find out your secret id and change your trainer id to be within 255 of it. Then you have a pokemon with cute charm in the front of your party.

This makes your chances 21.3333% to find a shiny.

If you're going to be doing something that requires external tools anyway, why not just hack / RNG the shiny in the first place?

It's getting shinies without an action replay having to be in, plus they look really legit because they are.

I personally did it yesterday just to see if I could do it, and bam, first shiny ever.

You don't need an Action Replay to hack or RNG shinies.

I personally used an action replay. Apparently there is a way you can do this legit, I don't have the link because I'm on my phone, but it's on smogon. Maybe some other based Anon can post the link.

Like I said I'm on my phone but if the thread is still around in 7 hours sure. It needs to be at most 255 away. Or closer to the number than 255. Either way your trainer ID and your secret ID need to be fucking close.
