>>13587900Fellow midwestfag here (Indiana) disc replays are great. I go there for misc. Pokémon games and all my retro vidya stuff. Plus, they'll actually give you a fair price when trading/selling and as far as buying goes prices are decent.
usually. they had a boxed copy of Earthbound (with dat awesome giant box) for $150. I told the guy behind the counter I had two copies of earthbound, one unopened I found at a church rummage sale and one that I got as s kid and actually play, and he nearly drooled all over his neckbeard. But OP, I was at gamestop looking around while my friend was getting his nephew a birthday present, and I happened to glance at a used copy of soul silver (without the pokewalker) for $46.99.
Ironically, the Gamestop and the Disc Replay store the other anon mentioned are in the same strip mall, across the parking lot from each other.
So I say to the Gamestop "professional"
>"why is soul silver so expensive?">he says, "oh well we don't really set the price ourselves, but that's like one of the rarest ones. We almost never get those in here.">i think to myself "probably because disc replay is right there and they'd give someone more than four dollars for it">me: "rare? you know that disc replay has multiple copies of it, and they're selling them for like $18-$30 bucks. In fact, they've got several copies of nearly every Pokémon game, except for emerald.">he proceeds to mumble some bullshit about how knowledgeable he is about the used game market as well as Pokémon because he works at Gamestop, and also why disc replay sucks, etc>"yeah okay dude, I'm going to disc replay."
