>>13605152I think you got the dub process confused with the raw production. I forget when the VAs said they work on an ep, but I think it's about a month in advance of when the ep airs. It's more than just recording dialogue, though. They actually have to translate the script, re-interpret whatever needs to be altered due to cultural differences, and also to get all the necessary resources from the Japanese production. For BGM, whatever they can't get, they have to make themselves. I find it impressive that they can do all that in the space of two months and a week now, assuming that the ep has to air in Japan first. It is possible they could just give us the animation, script, and music resources when they're done with it, which the Japanese production does all this stuff MANY months in advance. If that was true, though, then I have to question why the dub didn't accelerate it's production sooner. For now, though, I find little reason to believe that the dub gets that stuff that soon. I do know they have knowledge of the eps before even those that follow the raw do, but if that means that they have the resources for those eps....wait wait wait. Daggit, I forgot. Maybe they do. They had the footage for Ash's Unfezant and that ep had not aired even in Japan yet. Then the dub has been holding out on us. They totally already have this junk, but because of the schedule, they have stayed behind. The more the raw delays itself, though, the more we catch up. Admittedly, most of the other dubs just use our script translated to their language. Some do have their own translation, though, but they still are farther behind than us. I still don't think this means we will get the anime on the games' release, but it may be true that we will get eps closer together. The purists will still cling to their subs, though.
