Sorry to bother /vp/, but would mind telling me which Pokemon you think are Carnivorous? I'd like to know for a little Drawing project I'd like to do.

If it can learn fire fang, ice fang, or thunder fang, then it's probably carnivorous (with maybe a few exceptions).

Donphan. Whom I'm pretty sure looks like the kind of pokemon that would Browse, feeding on: plant shoots, leaves, fruit, tall grasses, low trees and shrubs. But then again it might be referring to it's TUSKS.

Steelix. I might be the odd man out, but isn't steelix a Regolith or something? Like, they eat rocks, stones, etc?

Pilowsine and Mamoswine: They seem like Grazers.. Except Mamoswine, I have no idea how this fucking thing eats. It's tusks are in the way and it has no neck. Probably a Tusk reference.

Hippowdon. Well, it IS a Hippo, so this guy is probably crazy fucking dangerous and aggressive. I think this guy might actually eat plant pokemon, so would that classify him as a Carnivore? Dunno, something to think about. He's an AMBUSH herbivore.

With questions like these, I think it's safe to say things in the Pokémon universe aren't quite as simple as "Carnivore, Herbivore, and Omnivore".

Case in point Drowzee eats dreams.

I think for the sake of accurate classification you should look at Pokémon who are confirmed to eat specific things through dex entries or otherwise.

The term I was trying to remember, is a LITHOTROPH.

A Lithotroph is an organism that consume inorganic compounds such as minerals to use in their own Biosynthesis and to produce energy.

I don't think they'd be 'crazy' common, but I'm sure a bunch of Rock, Steel, and Ground pokemon are Lithotrophs.

Pokemon such as: Onix, Steelix, Slugma, Magcargo, Nosepass, Maybe the Roggenrola family? The Aaron family for sure as they're explicitly stated eating ore deposits and metals.

Nope! I'm going to be doing some primordial, primitive, pre-pokeball times, pokemon themed stuff.

So I'd just like to get some kind of an idea of an 'actual' pokemon world: where things get eaten and Humans fight and Hunt pokemon themselves.

Not necessarily a Monster Hunter feel, but a primevil sort of lost land'ish feel perhaps?

Charmander family, Totodile family, Cyndaquil family (omnivore maybe), Chimchar family (again, probably omnivore as well), Piplup family (RL penguins are carnivorous even if they don't look like it), Electrike family, Snivy family, Scyther family, Ledyba family (RIP aphids IRL), Absol, Sneasel family, Murkrow family (okay so more scavengers), Rufflet family, etc.

Also, I think that the Axew family is based off of a plant-eating dinosaur, not that it makes them any less dangerous, but still.

Every Pokemon is Ditto, just in different permanent forms. Ditto was a newly found species on Earth that was capable of transforming into a plethora of creatures that resemble real-life things such as animals and objects. Humans eventually caught on and caught the Ditto, using them pets. This eventually evolved into a certain respect the Ditto gave and began fighting each other to please their trainers. Because they are just blobs of gelatinous mass, they can not be permanently injured. They began to become used to these bodies and eventually turned into permanent copies of the monsters, unable to revert back but were still able to "evolve", keeping their old powers but also growing into more powerful creatures that may not resemble their previous forms(such as Gyarados from Magikarp). This is also the reason why Pokemon like Farfetch'd and Timburr are born with things that resemble objects; because they are part of the DNA of the Ditto, and why Kangaskhan is born with a "baby" Kangaskhan in its pouch. This also explains why Mew and Ditto are so similar; because Mew was an attempt to manufacture Ditto.
