What does /vp/ think of Black/white not showing the EV boost at the end of leveling up? Do you prefer it? Do you think they'll use it for X/Y?

Probably somebody who levelled up on just one route, found he was getting massive increases, and looked into why, or some ROM hackers. Given people are willing to go to such lengths as to reverse-engineer the RNG system nowadays, EVs are nothing

It is the stat boost. When you ev train a pokemon and you're done you will still see +1 or +2 at most of the other stats.

Your stats get boosted every level depending on the pokemon's base stats. The Alakazam was specifically EV training in special attack and speed which is why they're much higher than everything else.

yeah but most of the support cards are really gimmicky and impractical and it takes two tributes to summon making it even more impractical. most traditional two-tribute summon cards have fallen out of vogue due to an increased speed of the overall metagame. plus no effect lol

i remember having this skilled dark magician card, which had 1900atk at 4 stars (was killer back then, dont know about now) and could upgrade to a dark magician from anywhere after playing 3 spell cards. shit was pretty rad.

Actually, Blue Eyes just got a whole hell of a lot of support fairly recently. He's much more competitively viable if you use the new support cards, but that's not saying much.

I hated Gen I&II stat experience. I had to kill so many Unowns just to train my pokemon it was ridiculous.

Back in Silver when I was grinding the pokemon league to evolve pokemon I noticed that my Ho-oh's stats were changing even though it was level 100. I had no idea why though.

This has always been possible: To raise a lv 100's EVs you just had to deposit it in the PC. I remember doing this shit in Silver.

LOWERING EVs is only possible since Emerald introduced the berries, though.
