I'm not trying to start shit, but does anyone have any good reasons as to why gen 3 ISN'T good besides:

Yes, there are too many water routes, but none of them are mandatory until you beat the 6th gym--which is TWO THIRDS through the game. Also, you only ever have to do like half of them to complete the story.

Musical taste is subjective, that's all there is to this. I personally love the music in gen 3, and I know it would sound incredible if it got remade for the 3DS.

>muh nostalgia

If I only thought gen 3 was good because I was young when I first played it, then I wouldn't like it as an adult. But I still do. So it's more than just nostalgia. I mean I could watch an episode of Blue's Clues and appreciate the nostalgia of it since I loved it when I was a kid, but unlike something that actually still seems good to me I wouldn't sit and play/watch it for hours.

It just blows my mind to see people on here constantly shitting on gen 3 but then praising the hell out of gen 5.
