There was more "mystery" and leaks. /vp/ felt like the FBI (but bad). The shitstorm was much bigger when the leaks were real and all that, Fairygate was big but I think it was not enough.

Though, Pokémon Sunday actually revealed stuff back then, so we had weekly news instead of monthly ones. Now, no one knows not to give a shit about Pokémon Smash.

I think with BW I paid too much attention to the leaks, got all hyped about things that were basically just mistranslations.

This time it's more "clean", everything is on the official site an hour after it leaks in CoroCoro.
