Name your favorite starter of each type (Fire, Grass, Water) and your overall favorite from the first 5 gens. Choices can be based off of battle usefulness, aesthetic, or w/ever. I'll start:
Fire/Overall: Torchic line(Gen 3). The first starter I ever chose and an absolute bro. And it's cute as all hell, on top of being really strong.
Water: Oshawott (Gen 5). Unpopular opinion, I know, but Samurott cleans up with Surf, Revenge, Ice Beam and Megahorn. I don't really like Samurott's sprite, but Oshawott's is adorable and Dewott is a badass.
Grass Starter: Turtwig (Gen 4). I don't really like Grass starters (this may change in X+Y), but Turtwig is pretty cool.
