Have you stopped to think how fucking stronk are the beasts roaming in Unova? If Blastoise was a Unova starter he'd be outclassed by Jellicent like a motherfucker, if Torterr was a Unova starter he'd be outclassed like a motherfucker by Liligant (not even the dual STAB saves it, because he's 2 slow and Unova is full of firefags), if Blaziken was a Unova starter he'd be only marginally better than Emboar, and even then Chandelute and Darmanitan would make him largely unecessary
