Pokemon main series only, sold in the DS almost 60 million games. Of them, only 2 were actually original. Diamond original and its paired copy. Then you have 2 paired remakes which uses Gen IV as a base, an improved version which is almost identical as the paired versions, another original game, and its paired version, and 2 re-scripted rehashes of the games.
This 2 games plus minor efforts (maybe if you join everything together you get a third game) sold 60 million copies.
No franchise sells that much. And I don't think Pokemon is the best game ever.
For Christ's sake, there are retards who buy the two paired versions and the 3rd improved version!
