I just hatched a shiny Ralts on my copy of Pokémon Platinum. I was not breeding for shinies, nor did I have any intention of using a Ralts in my playthrough. This is my first shiny since I was 10 or 11 years old, almost 10 years ago. The Ralts line is amongst my favourite of all Pokémon lines. I am in complete shock.
