it needs to be redrawn to look good like that. The body proportions need to be changed.

Fennekin is designed around it's big head. to make it's head smaller is to make it's legs longer, and it's neck needs a complete overhaul.

Fennekin is based on a fennec fox, almost entirely. So its head is too big to what it was supposed to be.

Really a large part of what's wrong with Fennekin is just the angle it's drawn at.

Think about it any way you want but the side-glance makes anything about it look wrong, and hard to judge.

Oh I know. I was the guy who drew it, was looking at it again to see about reducing the neck, but then realized the legs are off, started to try and imagine it in three dimensions and I just can't figure how the neck and skull would even work at that angle though so closed the file and said fuck it.

Unsure about that. Wartortle, Charmeleon, Bayleaf, Quilava, Grovile, and Dewott all look awesome compared to Stage 1/3.

Bulbasaur, Totodile, and Snivy all look great as Stage 1 vs their later stages.

Rest looks best Fully Evolved. Hard split.
