Anyone else going to pass on Gen 6 (and Pokemon in general) after the Mega Charizard reveal?

It's just disappointing that they decided to ruin one of the most iconic Pokemon just to push their mega evolution gimmick. It's like they tried to pander to the true fans of the series, yet did it in the worst possible way.
