I cant be the only one only using the starter from Kalos? I just don't see the point in using old starters for a new region. I want to experience new pokemon in my party, not ones Ive been using forever. Regardless that Mega Blastoise is glorious.

You're not, but that doesn't mean that using a gen 1 starter is bad.

I might get either Froakie and Charmander.
Or Chespin,Torchic,and Squirtle

You get a choice on one Kanto starter, and that event Torchic you get is at the beginning of the game.

I do find it a little silly that they seem to be pushing old Pokémon on us from the start. But, who knows, maybe the professor doesn't give you the Kanto starter until halfway through the game.

Nope, I'm with you OP. Only choosing a Kalos starter and boxing the other two free starters. I already have a good Squirtle/Charmander/Bulbasaur/Torchic with good natures/IVs I'm gonna transfer over anyway.
