If another Weather Inducer switches in when you decide to use it, you've locked Charizard into using an attack, given them another free switch, and SolarBeam's BP goes down to 60.

There's only like 3 pokemon that have auto-weather.
And I don't know about tiers but I think most of those are in OU, so you won't see them on a tier where Charizard would be.

The fact that it will have drought and is hinted that it will have a speed boost will probably be enough to bring it to OU and be an alternative to Ninetails. Alternatively sun teams will dominate the lower tiers.

IF MegaCharixard's type changes like they did with Mawile(Steel-->Steel/Fairy) and Ampharos (Electric-->Electric/Dragon) then yes

But

Unlikely though Ninetails would still be superior since it takes less damage from incognito boulders

Lead with it, maybe have Ninetales as backup.
Regular Charizard has more Sp. Atk. and same speed, Mega probably has both buffed up. You have weather and a sweeper at your disposal.

It would also be pretty good for a team that is helped by sun but doesn't wholly rely on it. Ninetales was a waste of a slot other than for Drought, so you HAD to make use of it, but that doesn't seem like it'll be the case for Charizard.

He'll be strong and fast enough to OHKO a lot of other things too. Reg Charzard already has 109 Sp. Atk. 100 Spd. The Mega description hints at higher speed definitely and explicitly states "significantly higher Sp. Atk." too.

All of the phony versions are shit, excpet that "Gen 5 charizard" the overly detailed one with the black wings. I think if it's neck had stayed white on the underside, instead of black, that would have been a good candidate for mega charizard.
