Or, you know, you could just use Pokemon Bank and save money instead of having to buy multiple copies. Being able to do multiple playthroughs without losing your Pokemon is probably one of the big reasons they made Bank in the first place.

There is nothing special about them in battle, 3 is overkill because you have to CATCH less pokemon for your team and kinda kills the point, not because it's "noob" using them.

Most are fairly powerful by the time they are in their third stage. The whole point of starters was how reliable they're supposed to be. Yes, I do think having multiples of these on your team through a game is overpowered unless the difficulty is adjusted accordingly.

No, it doesn't.
Even in gen 1 you can catch nidoran before the first gym that is one of the best pokemon to use in gen 1 games.
Gen 5 brought that to the next level by allowing you to use Lucarios and Arcanines that have insane base stats before the 3rd gym.
Seriously, if you want to use trash like bidoofs and pidgeys is up to you, but the games offer way better options than those or the starters since very early.

Depends on gender
Fennekin will probably be something like Sol if male and Capella if female (both names of stars)
Bulbasaur will be Allium if male and Barbarea if female ( the scientific names for two plants called Star of Persia and yellow rocket )

Ive used the fire starters in prettymuch every generation, except for 5. I took that Little prick snivy because I didnt like the pigs, or that fucking faggot Oshawott.

Either way, it's not like I can't get eggs of whatever the fuck I want later on.

I totally ditched snivy in BW2, and transferred in charmander squirtle and Bulbasaur.
