>>13658461I've loved these games ever since I played Blue on that road trip across the southwest as a kid. The anime revived my love of anime and convinced me to give those "strange cartoons" a chance, I am thankful for the life I've led because of it.
I looked forward to every main series game from gen 2 onward, despite being fearful of the apocalyptic dreams gen 2 gave me about a world of evil pokemon ruled by a black lugia (which ended up happening years later).
While /vp/ rages about their gen being the best and all others sucking, I never hated a main series game.
I want to like gen 6. I was ready to accept it completely, but I'm concerned.
If X and Y become the games I envisioned when I heard they were coming out, they'll be the best games in the series.
If they end up being unplayable, I'll return my game and go dormant and wait for the day the sun rises again.
The only games I've sat out completely were Trozei and Conquest. I've owned at least one of every gen of Pokemon RPG.
