Transferring to Gen 6 is only possible through Pokémon Bank. Any illegitimate Pokémon attempting to be transferred will be denied.

GameFreak's server-based hack detector will search a Pokémon's data down to the very last byte, and reject any Pokémon with missing or incorrect data.

Yep. Wont work with hacks that are 100% correct. But most dumbass hacks made (such as those through pokegen) probably wont work.

You kidding? I RNG on the GTS all the time and can pull off perfect IVs in at least 5 stats (all most Pokemon need anyway) before I run into any sort of problems. I doubt X & Y will be that much more hack-proof.

I can make a perfectly legit looking Pokemon in a few minutes with PokeGen. Passes all of PokeCheck's legality checks (which might be even better than the official ones) and it's impossible to tell apart from a legit Pokemon. Yeah, nah, there's still going to be plenty of cheating as long as gen 5 and below Pokemon are still allowed.

Only things I'm transferring are egg-hatched female versions of each starter from gen 1-5 excluding Charmander and Torchic, as well as every legendary and event pokemon from B/W2.

I'll be fine cause egg-hatched pokemon never trigger Gamefreak alarms.

I should be okay. I have a legal copy of every pokemon. Except for Celebi. I just missed the event. I can't help it Belgium only made it available for a single day is only one type of store. I got it with the DNS cheat, but those are legal illegals, right. No way they'll catch onto that. They probably only protected against Pokegen/pokesav.

And how about pokemon descended from illegal pokemon.

There is absolutely no way to detect this. If you bred the Pokemon normally there's nothing different about that Pokemon when compared to one that didn't have hacked parents.

These countermeasures GF is implementing checks the Pokemon's data structure to see if anything is off or missing, so nothing created in your game without the use of an AR or whatever is going to set and flags off, regardless of whether or not it had parents who were hacked. The only information parents pass on through breeding are moves, the nature and/or IVs IIRC.

Worst case Gen 6 is hack free for a few months, then someone cracks it open an makes a Pokegen for Gen 6 (And possibly up). Pokebank sounds more like a way to make transfers less tedious.

RNG abuse makes it feel more personal, man. You went through some trouble to obtain it and then you EV trained it yourself. Even though you still cheated, it feels like your Pokemon in a way straight-up hacks don't.

That's only for 3rd and 4th gen. Just leave the field blank and it will generate a legal PID when you save it.

I know. I just think the feeling of accomishment you get from a great IV bred pokemon is more of than you get from anything else. Hell, it took me about 5 days to breed this one Eevee, but the umbreon I got out from it is nothing short of amazing. Maybe he doesn't have 31 in speed, but what does speed matter to a heal bell spammer? He's not perfect, but he's mine. It just seems to me what really ruins the game is people who want to take shortcuts and pokegen a pokemon in minutes to just throw it away when it doesn't preform like they want it to. It's not the pokemon, it's how you play it.

But my opinion may not matter, I got to 1900 using a Charizard on a sun team in OU, because he hits harder than Deoxys-A in the sun, and all you need is to actually have a balanced team to support him, and not 6 sweepers with no rapid spinner.

It depends on your system, I do it on a DS Lite (it's actually the very first model, but the Lite works the same from what I know) and as long you press A to start the game when you hear the "tick" noise, you'll hit your timer no problem.
You don't even need an external clock since the DS has it right there, seconds and everything.
I know it's a bit harder on the 3DS and DSi tho.

Yeah, I probably worded that wrong, I was talking about the fear some hackers may have about their perfectly hacked pokémon getting banned because they missed something.

I'm smart enough to not generate a hatched pokémon on a masterball, but I would still feel uneasy. That's just me.
