This megaevolutions allow previously neglected pokemon to shine once again. How is that bad, assuming you loved them so much, so many years ago? Would you rather they kept them useless and outdated?
Sure, they added one flower, two tiny wings and a dildo to each design, but be honest, and you would have made a much bigger hissyfit if they went really the Digimon way, and stuffed them with blades, guns and shit like that.
