Really don't know. Seems odd that they specifically chose Torchic to give away and never announced megas for Swampert and Sceptile along with Blaziken's. I hope it's simply because of the national bird thing.
I'd love for all the starters to get megas though - especially Feraligatr, Sceptile and Typhlosion.
