Am I the only one that hopes we won't get Fire/Psychic, Grass/Dark and Water/Fighting starters? I don't want Chespin to have 6 weaknesses.

What types do you think the starters will be, /vp/? I'm thinking Fire/Psychic, Grass/Rock or Grass/Steel and Water/Dark.

True, but even still less weaknesses is better. It's handy for switching in on psychics I suppose and the typing gives 6 resistances and an immunity. I guess it's not the worst possible typing but it isn't the best either.

Fairy will be a new type. It is weak to Poison and Steel, immune to Dragon, super effective against Dragon, Dark, and Fighting, and Fire and Psychic-type Pokemon take half damage from it.

I don't see how super effective to fighting makes any sense. Puffballs like togepi, jigglypuff, clefairy lines were weak to fighting this entire time now they get fairy typing and are suddenly strong versus it? okay.

at least it isn't weak to EVERY popular offensive type bar fire, like Tyranitar

Being 4x weak to bug isn't a death sentence and poison and flying aren't too popular. Plus it resists ground and water, two popular types (albeit one for bulky pokemon and the other for earthquake)

but fuck having a 4x weakness to fighting, 2x weakness to bug, water, steel, grass, and ground
