Hopefully I can be forgiven for lack of imagery (can't draw) and likely, the stupidity of my ideas, but....
One idea I had was not so much a fakemon, but a somewhat generic area idea.
Simply put, a mix of the Bermuda Triangle. Winds rage day in and day out, with frequent rain, and constant mist or fog, making visibility awful, and flying there difficult.
Possibly, the area would be in the center of a massive stone "ring" of an island. Hence, even if you could sail to it, you'd have to scale the area, and helping further the area's isolation, which leads to the "lost city" area.
Once you get deep in enough, aside from the usual sea Pokemon, rare species of Pokemon are to be found, which cause the supposed effects the Bermuda Triangle normally has: Pokemon of pure static, flying around the sea, making lots of technology poorly functional -likely radio and similar- and Pokemon that create, or ARE mirages.
Past all that, is a rather stereotypical area: The ruins of a once-prosperous city, but destroyed, by awful weather, climate, natural disasters, and almost no ability to communicate with the outside world.
Should I go on, or do my ideas suck so far, as expected? I haven't really fleshed them out much, obviously.
