What if attack and defence were combined into one stat and special attack and special defence were combined into one stat?

Would this fix pokemon?

That...actuallu wouldn't be to bad

It would solve the discrepancy of a pokemon being totired to use ember again but being more than ready to flamethrower a bitch. That and it gives more freedom of move usage and makes ethers less useless

Eventually they would get rid of stats and moves and types entirely and make it a turn based staring contest simulator, with unlockable desperation arm-flailing attacks when they mega evolve
