I'm pretty sure I will be taking froakie
I have no idea about kanto, I raise a charmander every time so I have never used a bulbasaur or squirtle.
I WANT mega charizard though. at the same time I want to give litleo a shot.
is 2 fire types too much? I don't know

Torchic nicknamed Col.Sanders, boxed until I finish the story
Pick only 6 gen. pokemon in my team to get used to them faster. As for now the team would be Fennekin or Froakie, Pangoro, Talonflame, Gogoat, Honedge, Spritzee or the white llama/poodle/gryphon thing.

Picking Charmander, haven't used one since I was a child.
So if I need a fire type during the story I'll either catch a new one or use that free KFC.

Want him to be a badass so I'll probably box him to EV train later after story, or once it becomes convenient to do so. That is, if they don't completely rework the training mechanics.

Chespin without question as my starter.

As for the Kanto starter, that depends on whether or not the starter you pick is the only one that will be capable of mega-evolving. If not, then I'll take Blastoise for FULL COVERAGE. However if it is the only way to get that starter's mega, then I'll have have to pick Bulbasuar.

However, I'm considering Banking Torchic and Bulbasaur and saving them for a later run since I might want to do an all Kalos Pokemon run for the first playthrough.

Otherwise, I'll pair these three with Pangoro, Spiritzee's evo if it's part flying and looks cool, and some 6th Pokemon. Maybe Malimar.
