Pokemon is not a truly competitive game. As long as RNG elements like FRZ, PAR, crits, SLP, etc. exist it won't be. These elements give the edge to inexperienced players. Good players don't need hax to win. Take the final match of the 2010 VGC for example. As talented a player as Ray Rizzo is, he won that match because of crits. A match should never be decided by a random number, it should be about the talent of the players.
